Seems that up in New York City a "neighbor" called the cops on another neighbor, complaining about the chalk drawing that a six-year-old girl made on the stoop of her house.
Not on the stoop of the offended "neighbor" but on the little girl's on stoop.
And so the officials in NYC, in response to the complaint, fired off a form letter threatening a $300 fine if the respondent (in this case a six-year-old girl) did not remove the graffiti (which in this case was the chalk drawing of a flower...)
I am just trying to figure out what the appropriate "do unto your neighbor" response would be in this case...i think, as a starter, it would involve a whole bouquet of chalk drawing flowers on the "neighbor's" stoop...
Kathrine had a great comment about the Paris Hilton Bible totin' photo op...
"Is it just me or is it hysterical that she's also got a book as thick as the Bible as her "guide to spiritual enlightenment" and a look that appears as though her stylist is trying to costume the "modern nun"? Subdued, solid colours; modest length; heavy long pendant reminiscent of a crucifix?
And that got me wondering...just exactly what would Paris Hilton's "nun" name be? Thoughts?
So a new trend is in giving kids cosmetic surgery for graduation presents.
The idea I guess is that you take a young adult, at a very emotional, transitional time of life and give them a present which has them make a permanent, surgical change to to their bodies... what could possibly go wrong with this?
Because, after all, every decision we all made in the summer after high school was perfect and was the best thing for the rest of our lives...
Important holiday memo to our good friends at Wal-Mart.
I was in one of your stores today. As I walking through the Easter section, I came upon this large display of Easter books. I knew they were Easter books because you had written, in giant letters, EASTER.
But I as looked around the display, I saw a stack of books that seemed a bit out of place. There were several copies of the new best-seller, "The Secret," by Rhonda Byrne.
Perhaps you hadn't heard, but Easter is about Jesus.
"The Secret" is not about Jesus, so I think that maybe you have those books in the wrong section.
Hope this was of assistance.
Oh...in case you were looking for a book about faith that might be right for your stores...I hear that there is another new book, this one called "Our Big, Big God", that might be a good choice.
