Countdown to Christmas - Day Twelve

Countdown to Christmas - Day Twelve

Luke 2:12

"Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying..."

As if the "angel" and the "sign" were not enough...ladies and gentlemen please put your hands together for a "great company of the heavenly host."

The angel showed up and brought his (her?) (its???) teammates.

But I've gone on long enough about wanting just one itsy, bitsy, teeny, weeny miracle.

Here the angel(s) show up and before they do anything they praise God. No saying "God, here is what we are thinking...we're gonna fly through the air and freak out the shepherds...could you please bless what we are going to do."

Their approach was the opposite. Before anything happened, before anything good or great or amazing or wonderful or bad or horrible or despicable they praised God.

No condition.

No expectation.

No list of "God if you were really here and you really loved me you would (fill in the blank.)

(like maybe...God if you are there would you do a miracle for me...)

Ooops....
