everything looked smaller

Gatlinburg00014_2 I took a quick 1500 mile trip to Iowa and back this weekend for a family weekend and a dash down memory lane.

I retraced many of the stops we made last summer during GATAAH and went back to all the familiar, family places in Keosauqua, Birmingham, and Washington. I made one other stop in this journey back in Indianaola, the little town where I went to elementary school.

Still digesting lots of different stops, but as I look back at the house I grew up in, it all seemed much bigger when I was 10.
