So there is this big church in Nashville. And evidently they are having a giant fussing match about who is in control.
And I think that Jesus is getting lost in all of this.
Even more curious, in the midst of all of this, was a statement in The Tennessean about a proposed "severance agreement..."
"He (Foster) said that when those talks broke down, the two sides had discussed a severance package. It would have included, Foster said, the one-year non-compete clause in which he could not preach in Nashville and an agreement that he would state that he was leaving the church willingly..."
So if I am reading this correctly he was willing to sign a statement guaranteeing that he would not preach in his hometown, and the church leaders were asking him to sign a statement guaranteeing that he would not preach in his hometown.
Can someone show me where Jesus said, "and verily I say to you...if you have a signed and duly-notarized statement, do not preach the Gospel in your hometown...and to leaders, look at those with whom you have a problem and, by law, preclude them from preaching the gospel...these are the things that bring honor and glory to my Father."
